Supplier Catalogue
ABT Supplier Catalogue for PRONTO-Xi is designed to allow you to keep your vendor’s full range of products in Pronto without unnecessarily clogging your real inventory master list with items you may not stock. The quoting feature allows you to produce quotes in PRONTO-Xi that include Catalogue items that are not currently in inventory.
Stock Catalogue
The Supplier Catalogue module solves the problem where you can source a large range of products from a vendor—however you only stock a smaller range of items, but you would like their complete catalogue available within PRONTO. Users can then enquire on a vendor’s complete range to satisfy client queries.
The Supplier Catalogue allows you to upload all (or selected parts) of a vendors catalogue into PRONTO so your users can:
- Search the catalogue
- Check to see if the item is a real inventory item and drill down to the standard PRONTO-Xi maintenance or enquiry screens
- Create a new inventory item directly from the catalogue item
User defined import
The catalogue import feature allows you to create separate import definitions for each catalogue you wish to import.
This allows you to take a file of vendor items and load them into the catalogue including the ability to:
- Define which field in the import goes to which field in the catalogue
- Map values, so a field in the import file can be mapped to be loaded as a different value to the catalogue
- Add multiple import fields together to form one catalogue field
- Take only certain characters of an import field to form one catalogue field
- Update existing catalogue items with updated vendor files
Key benefits
- Complete vendor catalogue available on-line without loading into your real inventory file
- Create new inventory items with the push of a button
- Keyword search the catalogue
- Update real inventory prices, costs etc from the catalogue
- User defined import definitions
- Links with standard inventory
- Ability to quote from both real inventory and the catalogue
Update your real PRONTO Inventory
- Create a new inventory item from the catalogue at the push of a button.
- Bulk create multiple inventory items from the catalogue.
- When importing a vendor’s catalogue you can update inventory master details such as description, price, cost etc at the same time. Or you can change data in the catalogue prior to updating your real inventory file.
- The catalogue includes a tool to bulk update prices—you may wish to use this if your pricing is in foreign currency and you want to apply a factor to the prices to create local currency pricing.
Other Catalogue features
- Keep supplier quantity break pricing
- Catalogue item notes file available
- Obsolete part lookup—new code to old code or old code to new code
- Bulk removal of all or part of the catalogue
- Key word lookup for catalogue items
- Multiple Pronto companies can share catalogue data
Catalogue Quoting
A powerful feature of the Supplier Catalogue is the ability to quote clients not only from items in your real inventory file but also from items in the catalogue.
An Excel export generation utility is provided where you can define the details from your quote to export and then easily create an Excel sheet with all your quote details to be sent to your client.
The export generator allows multiple export styles to be created and the user can select the style most appropriate at export time. This means that you do not need to unnecessarily create real inventory items just to be able to enter a PRONTO quote. When your client accepts your quote you can convert all catalogue items on the quote to real stock items with a push of a button.
