TrueForms

PRONTO-Xi TrueForm™ is Pronto Software’s forms layout and output technology. TrueForm allows for high-quality, professional presentation of forms such as invoices, statements, purchase orders, and credit notes. Layout and design of forms is easy using TrueForm’s intuitive design interface.

Complete Design Package

TrueForm includes the Designer toolset, which is a true WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) user interface. Because you see exactly what your output will look like at the time of design, you save both time and paper. Also, TrueForm Designer does not use separate form overlays, sparing you the ‘design, print, review’ process in order to align graphical elements and data blocks.

With TrueForm you can draw boxes, lines and other graphical elements and can also embed images such as logos, positioning them down to per-pixel measurement if required. Furthermore, TrueForm Designer is easy enough to use that you can design and modify multiple layouts quickly.

Fonts and Barcodes

TrueForm supports the use of PostScript fonts, giving you total flexibility on how your text is presented. Positioning of text blocks, font selection, emphasis (bold, underline, italics), colours, point sizes, and even spacing between characters (kerning) can be customised.

Barcoding is native to the TrueForm environment so any piece of data (Item Code, Customer Code, Invoice Number etc.) can be automatically converted to barcode format at print time and inserted anywhere in the document.

Pagination Control

TrueForm handles all pagination requirements for your forms and, because it understands where pages begin and end, TrueForm gives you comprehensive control over your page design. This includes total number of pages as part of your page numbering information in the footer (e.g.: “Page 2 of 7”) as well as a different header for the first page of a multi-page document and a different footer for the last page of a multi-page document.

This makes forms easier for your staff and customer to read, and saves paper by eliminating unnecessary header information on every page.

Templates

PRONTO Xi TrueForm includes pre-defined templates to make the design of documents even easier including landscape and portrait templates of Statement, Purchase Order and Invoice forms.

All templates contain alternate row shading for the detail area of the forms, placeholders for logos and data mapping from standard PRONTO Xi fields. In this way the included TrueForm templates help to you get up and running as quickly as possible.

Conditional Display

Formatting and even appearance of data, static text and graphics can be made conditional upon data within the form.

This is particularly useful for businesses that operate in different geographic markets and want static text to appear in different languages in different regions. Other uses for the conditional display feature include using different logos for different trading names or to suppress certain descriptor fields for particular customers.

Printer Flexibility

TrueForm can utilise any printer attached to your Windows print network when that printer is mapped as a local printer to the TrueForm Server. This means that PostScript, and even GDI printers can be used along with PRONTO Xi’s established PCL method.

Incorporated into PRONTO Xi Foundation

TrueForm is incorporated into the PRONTO Xi Foundation which forms the basis of every installation of PRONTO Xi. This means that all the functionality of TrueForm is included at no extra charge for all PRONTO Xi customers using version 650.5 or above.
