Optus World – Powered by ABT and Pronto software

The Face of Optus

The face of Optus to most is Optus World, a national network of 143 retail outlets. Operating as franchises, the stores have played a large part in building the Optus brand and explaining the place of the new technology in consumers lives and businesses.

The Right Tools

Giving Optus World franchises the tools and technologies to improve their businesses is a priority for Optus.

Optus have completed the roll out of a new enterprise business management (EBM) solution for the Optus World network, supplied and implemented by ABT. The EBM solution, Pronto ERP, is reinvigorating the franchises.

Franchise Success

By engaging ABT, the Optus World stores now have more robust accounting procedures with the system being a set-and-forget system.

ABT host the central server for the whole network. The hosted solution decision turned out to be both very cost-effective and hassle-free. ABT took care of the transition, performance, backups and data integrity.

“We can see what is happening with sales right across the Optus World channel at practically any point in the day which means we can adjust our product offering quickly and fine tune our marketing effort exactly when we need to.” Mr Morris said.

The Result

In addition to users across the 143 stores in the Optus World Network, ABT has around 70 users in Optus Corporate in the Service Centre and Direct Business groups.

The franchises are very happy with their EBM system. For the first time, they have a real time view of their business, which allows them to manage business issues with the proper information.
